Taylor Baldwin is originally from Asheville, North Carolina. He attended Valparaiso University and studied electrical engineering as his undergraduate major, as well as completing a program of study in the humanities from the honors college. He jointed LNSP as a M.S. student where he studies the proliferation implications of laser enrichment. Before coming to MIT he spent time researching Quantum-dot Cellular Automata, a type of quantum computing scheme. He developed a strong interest in nuclear science and engineering after participating in several nuclear related physics courses in his undergrad. After graduating from MIT, he aspires to making a positive impact on the world, through both his work on national security issues, and by helping to develop innovative technologies that impact national policy.
