Brendan Hanlon is a masters candidate in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on the potential for the U.S. Navy to use low-enriched uranium fuels for naval reactors. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Following the completion of his master's degree, he will serve as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He has also earned the title of Eagle Scout.
